Weigh-in #25: Milestone! (85lb)

Peak: 435 lb
Previous: 354.4lb
Current: 347.2lb
Lost this week: 7.2lb
Total Loss: 87.8lb

Food: 5/7. Exercise: 4/7.

Milestone! I’ve now lost 6 stone in 6 months and sub-350 amazing!

This was a good food week. Although with a big loss showing on the scales I told myself I could afford some treats, which is pretty dumb. (The number is artificially big this week, inflated by last week’s “gain”.)

Exercise was ok. I got my weights in but slacked a little on the cardio. Four days in the gym feels comfortable, it gives me some flexibility to miss a session and catch up later. I’m also happy with my burn rate at the moment, so I’m not going to bust a gut trying to get more sessions in.

I’m feeling good. Bring on the next milestone, a biggy :)

  1. Being the dumb American I am, I have little understanding of the actual amount of weight in a stone, but 87.8 pounds down? Woooo Hoooo! You are so close to 100 pounds, I bet you can smell it! :-)

  2. Ha ha Erin, I never have any idea what people are talking about when they refer to “losing a stone” either. I had to type “6 stones in pounds” into Google to get the conversion :)

But in all seriousness, great work man, keep it up!

  3. I’m guessing pounds is the de facto standard in the states? Over here if you asked the man in the street they’d respond in stones (although I now think in pounds).

In my mind I have some perceptions of different stone weights: anything over 20 stone (280lb) is really fat, 17-19st is fat, 15-17 is a big bloke and probably overweight, 13-14 is “most men” and anything below that is weedy :) .

That’s why for me getting sub-20 is a huge milestone. When I do that I’ll breath a sigh of relief. I’ll still be obese, but just “normal fat” rather than “OMG fat”.

  4. CONGRATS Harry! You are doing this! And doing it well! I’m so proud of you! :)
